Watermelon Seed: A Poem

Here is a poem about a watermelon seed I found on the ground of my brother's room.  I thought the find was quite evocative, but I wasn't sure of what, so I made a poem to help me figure out.

Enjoy!

Watermelon Seed

I found you, lying,
on the floor, spit and forgotten,
from some sweet moment, gone and forgotten

I could put you in the soil,
but I know I never will.
Watch you grow, lush and ripe
entangled vines brushed with dirt,
basking in sun.
